Short Description(基本介绍)
Dr. George Grekousis is an Associate professor in the Department of Urban and Regional Planning at Sun Yat-sen University, Guangzhou, China. He studied in Greece and the USA and he teaches GIS and spatial analysis courses since 2008. His interdisciplinary research focuses on Spatial Analysis, Geodemographics, and Artificial Intelligence. In specific, he couples geographical modelling and machine learning with social data to study changes in the social and demographic landscapes for better spatial planning and decision making towards sustainable future. Dr. Grekousis has been awarded with several grants from well-known international bodies and his research has been published in several SSCI journals including, Computers Environment and Urban Systems, PLOS One, Applied Geography. ?He has also authored one book and one book chapter and his has presented his research in more than twenty international scientific conferences. He has been also reviewer (current and former) in the following journals: ?GIScience and Remote Sensing / Computers, Environment and Urban Systems / CITIES / Journal of Geography and Geology / Journal of Geographical Sciences / Science of the Total Environment / International Journal of Digital Earth / International Journal of Health Geographics.
